So Shane said he wanted to be at boxing day test for the ashes and it got me thinking about the things i want to find time to do in my life..

Be at Lords for an Ashes test.
See my Saintas win a premiership.
Be in the crowd at an Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Be in the crowd at an Olympic event when an Aussie wins gold.
To see the Aussies in the Soccer World Cup final.
Watch the Wimbledon men's final live.
As above for the French Open
Watch a game of baseball in a sellout crowd that goes all the way to the 9th.
See the return of softball to the Olympics and Australia win gold.
Watch Princess BF become human again.
watch her achieve her dreams.
Watch her give me grand babies.
Cuddle my grand babies.
Brainwash my grandbabies to believe that the Saint as are the greatest sport team in the history of the world.
Be a footy and cricket grandma cos I didn't get to be a footy and cricket mum.
Go to dawn service at Gallipoli

What's on you bucket list?

Do you like certain sports Jo?

I became a Grandma for the first time 8 months ago to a beautiful baby girl called Scarlett. We are going visiting this afternoon. I am beside myself with love for this darling precious little baby.

Go back to the UK for the third time and visit all the historical sights/museums I missed last time.

Visit Japan

I've always been fascinated by that country and their culture.

I love most sports, even the ones I don't really understand. Its always best if any Aussie is in it. AFL is my fave, love cricket, netball(hurt to have to give up netball last year) and basketball are up high. Still play softball.

Enjoy your visit with little Scarlet today. I think/hope it will be a while until I have a grand bubba as my caught just turned 12.

Wonderful topic idea Jo! Thanks for starting/sharing it.

- see Venice

- be instrumental in reconciling family who should reconcile (or to be the kind of person who could, gracefully and wisely, accomplish same)

- see the Taj Mahal

- enjoy becoming truly bodily fit

- see the Northern Lights (thanks Jillar)

- never be stupid enough to take so much as a single puff off of a single cigarette ever again

- fall in love with another pet again

A huge wishlist

  • Stay fit enough to play sport with my grandkids (need to keep going for the next 12 years or so)
  • Be around to see plenty more additions to the 3 grandkids we have
  • Boxing day ashes test in Melbourne (as it's meant to be the world's #1 liveable city, it's somewhere I'd like to head to in any case)
  • Visit Petra in Jordan
  • Return to Bow bridge in central park on a beautiful spring day (I was oddly enthralled when I saw it on Highlander, but it bucketed down the one time I was there)
  • See a baseball game (in my mind at Yankee stadium)
  • Visit many caribbean islands
  • Cruise the Greek Islands
  • Head to Canada for a skiing vacation
  • Visit San Francisco
  • Visit New England in fall
  • Drive a couple of motor racing tracks (cars only and the two I'd like to do are Nurburgring and Laguna Seca Raceway)
  • Would love England to win a football world cup in my lifetime (I'd even settle for a European Championship)

I've been to Laguna Seca a few times as it's only about two and a half hours from me. Totally awesome track AND I believe they have a driving school for people to drive the track :)

Yes,you will have to wait if your child is just 12! lol. I had to wait for my oldest to reach his mid 30's. I thought I'd never become a grandmother but Life happens when you least expect it!

I'd like to go to Burning Man some year.  Also, I'd like to travel to Scandanavia--maybe Finland.  (I admire the social contract and priorities there.)

-Raise polite kids to into proper self sufficient adults that move out so me and hubby can have alone time anytime
-Artic sea excursion/cruise (whale watching, icebergs, fishing)
-Own a self sustaining mountain homestead with fully stocked fallout shelter
-Learn to paint mountain scenery and paint a series of sunrises on the mountain tops

Idk if it's a bucket list because it's too early to ponder on my own mortality... But fun topic for sure! I'll prob come back when I have more

It's never too early Jane, especially with your list of things you want to accomplish :)

I wouldn't worry - she'll be fine when she reaches the age of 18 or 19 :o, at least that's what experience of teenagers has taught me!

In the abortion debate, some say life begins as soon as the sperm reaches the egg. the fact is that life doesn't begin until the kids move out of the house.

So when they call it a "bucket list", is that cause it is stuff people want to do before kicking the bucket? Why didn't the call it a "dust list" or perhaps "farm list"? Bite the dust, buy the farm...
