Day 6 and I’m really proud of myself for that. I flew 3300 km to get home yesterday. Lots of triggers. A few anxious moments, but nothing terrible.
First day home, house is empty except for dogs. Triggers everywhere, I’ve been cleaning (putting away Xmas decorations) for 2 hours. Just stopped for a quick bite. Now I’m sweating, shaky, anxious.
I’m picking up crap for kids that are capable. I need to get some wood in the house. I’m tired, I’m miserable. I’m basically a 3 year old having a tantrum.
Peace

Hang in there Rory!!

A little sweating goes hand in hand with the anxiety.  As for your kids not listening, can't help you there!!. mine's only two and he already doesn't listen!

It will pass. keep busy and read and post here if needed to distract you.  We got this!!

Being at day 6 is fantastic Rory! Sweating, anxious, tantrum: check, check and check. You are right on schedule.

Work on your distractions. You need to get some wood in the house - I don't suppose you cut your own, do you? Boy, that would be an excellent wear-you-out distraction to take your mind off smoking! Stay busy, stay strong, and remind yourself that how you feel today is only temporary. You can get past how you feel today and tomorrow will likely be better.

Being a nonsmoker feels totally wondermous Rory - stay the course, it's worth it!

It gets better Rory, hang in there !

Nov 6, 2011 I decided " I had enough with this sh*t "

I quit because I just got tired of the life under a rock, dark and with not enough air to breathe waiting for the day to get crushed!

Alcohol to a quit is like Kryptonite to Superman

Stop, Think and then React. Not React,Stop and then Think

Practice does not make it perfect, makes it permanent. Practice the right things!

Quitting is by far the best decision for the rest of your life.

If a Doctor gives you 6 months to live, would you start living after the first three? Quit now!

" I am a puff away form a pack a day"

Once you stop puffing or having Nicotine in any form, then and only then your symptoms will stop.

I quit with a frozen turkey. Once I felt comfortable with my quit,  I ate it.

Life is such a good teacher, that if you don't learn the lesson it will repeat it to you.

Rory you are doing great. You will go through so many different changes but just always keep in mind whatever you experience now is your body healing. Embrace it and wait for the day when all this is behind you.

Things began to get better when I realized I would remain quit even if things never got any better.

All good. Played guitar for half an hour. Drank some juice. Yelled into a microphone. This minute is good.

Hi Roryplog

Do you exercise? If not, please try some cardio and sweat a little, your sweating from nicotine withdraw will decrease
