Day 21 COLD TURKEY...but I found some 2 mg gum.....

Postby coldturkey » Sat Aug 06, 2011 11:55 am

I had a major craving today at day 21 cold turkey quit. It happened about 5 minutes ago and all I could think about was having a cig. The craving was SOO bad I actually felt tightness in my lungs, then I swallowed a HUGE glob of gunk!

Looking through my desk for gum, I notice this really cool package of nicorette gum my wife purchased a year ago to try and get me to quit......Is it bad to start chewing this?

If you are not allowed your very own opinion without explaining yourself to death to others that don't matter, Then is it really worth it?

Some people just do not get it, and they never will, because it is always about them and their ways.

It feels awesome once you get rid of the nasty nicodemon.

Nicotine, the addictive substance in tobacco products, is the most common cause of chemical dependency in the U.S., according to the CDC.

Nicotine is an extremely addictive dangerous drug . Tobacco, ecf/casaa(Consumer Addicts Should Advocate Addiction) are, in effect, drug-pushers. Their income depends on keeping millions of Americans hooked.

Legal? Are you suggesting that people who cannot or will not stop using tobacco should be put in jail?
Is there any reason whatsoever to believe that smoke-free products that may contain an addictive psychostimulant but have not been approved by the FDA as a smoking cessation aid pose a greater public health risk than sugar-free products that may contain an addictive psychostimulant but have not been approved by the FDA as a weight loss aid?

Good job on the quit. My biggest problem when I'm craving is getting mad at everything for about 15 minutes. Nothing violent. But this shall also pass.
