Since we lost the last of this, here we have a new thread where you can vent your frustration away..

- Hard to keep up with the new when the old keeps flooding the page

Nov 6, 2011 I decided " I had enough with this sh*t "

I quit because I just got tired of the life under a rock, dark and with not enough air to breathe waiting for the day to get crushed!

Alcohol to a quit is like Kryptonite to Superman

Stop, Think and then React. Not React,Stop and then Think

Practice does not make it perfect, makes it permanent. Practice the right things!

Quitting is by far the best decision for the rest of your life.

If a Doctor gives you 6 months to live, would you start living after the first three? Quit now!

" I am a puff away form a pack a day"

Once you stop puffing or having Nicotine in any form, then and only then your symptoms will stop.

I quit with a frozen turkey. Once I felt comfortable with my quit,  I ate it.

Life is such a good teacher, that if you don't learn the lesson it will repeat it to you.

I have read and like your threads Kathleen, and they are very good. It must feel nice to have someone read, comment and revive your old input.   :)

My vent ....

It really erks me to see people using this site as a social gathering or to get sympathy for something going on in their life and make no mention of quitting.

We are all struggling with our quits and when I see their posts, I can just see them typing with a cigarette in their mouth.

And I'm not talking about the ones that relapse off and on, I'm talking about the ones that went back to smoking and still post here and say nothing of quitting.

Since we lost the last of this, here we have a new thread where you can vent your frustration away..

- Hard to keep up with the new when the old keeps flooding the page

Sorry but it's so easy to scroll page to page if nothing interests me.  I would not condemn the hard work of someone else who is bringing up treasures to share with new quitters.  If it already exists, why rewrite great posts?  Been here awhile and don't want to read it?  Then just scroll past those pages if you don't want to read again.  ;)

This is a valued effort by a few posters here and I can't disagree more on the use of a vent thread to call them out about it.  We are all friends here and hopeful of helping people quit smoking.  We all bring our own way to make it happen and together we are absolutely awesome!

Vent threads should be used for other things like traffic complaints and tax man trash talk.  Not defeating the efforts of friends.  :bigarmhug:

Ooops

I guess we can say this was my vent post.

Don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings because each person has an important role to play here and we all mean well even if it doesn't always come across that way.

Only one puff away from a pack a day

Saying yes to one invites the thousands hiding behind that one

A successful quit is a life-preserver through the trials of life

A crave passes whether you smoke or not

I stopped the damage at 5:27 pm Thursday, January 23, 2014

Did you ever wish...you had QSMB business cards?

An acquaintance mentioned how badly she wanted to quit. We talked about QSMB. Will she remember our conversation when she gets around to quitting? Probably not...I would have liked to give her a card or something....

Here's another one...

Smokers should have to apply for a licence to purchase nicotine products. One of the prerequisites for the licence would be an introduction to living life as a nicotine addict.

I am really disliking this addiction today, how can it be legal to buy any nicotine product without a licence of some kind? Now our youth are *aping nicotine! Feeling frustrated...

...thanks for listening.

You know what I don't get Missy...

We grew up seeing that smoking was good for you, and cool, and made you a super hero  and all those commercials.  But this new generation has had all the right info since day one, they had asked and beg us to stop killing ourselves, they really had it right.... And now, they are vaping.  What is wrong with this new generation?

I always try to stay away form the news, most of what they bring is true but negative by nature.  Today I found out that most of the attacks inside of our country have NOT been made by Muslims extremist, but by our own radicalized, extremists american born US citizens. Go figure!

I have people at work who were convincing me to get those. They act like they have made an awesome decision to save their lives, and go i feel a lot better with these. They are the real deal. My answer to those, " I'm smoking real cigs and If i quit i quit for good, I aint interested in workarounds or bandaid fixes" 2 months later they are back on cigs LOL
