Every time I get a craving I inhale the oil and I can taste it even when I exhale. It almost makes me feel like I'm smoking. I just hold it like a cigarette while I'm driving which helps a lot because that's when it seems to be the hardest.
does this not grow the seed in your mind that you miss smoking and wish that you were smoking?
It's great that it has helped you to abstain from smoking cigarettes and the physical healing will be doing you wonders,
I guess I'm a little dubious about using any alternative that involves inhaling and feeling like you are smoking as a method of distancing yourself from smoking.
It could be building a belief system that smoking is a pleasure that you miss, further down the line you may find that your resolve is too weak to turn down the odd cigarette and then you are back to square one.
just my take on it though, other theories are available lol

Practicing deep breathing exercises to get through a crave is a whole lot safer if you ask me.

i found crushed black pepper poured in the eyes to be very distractfull when dealing with a crave
So I should do this while driving, yes?
What an odd post. "Ya know what gets me through craves? .... pepperspray inhalation!"

"Ya know what gets me through craves? .... pepperspray inhalation!"
and I can see where it would be much safer while driving ... good point
This so made me laugh....
But seriously Meagen ... whatever works for you. If I thought swinging a frozen chicken around above my head would have helped.... I would have done it.
Congrats on quitting
